Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his distinctive style. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang and performed piano. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You a House 12, was only released in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and is the mainstay in her live performance. The Fighting Temptations was the another soundtrack on which she sang. In 2005 she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her the position of director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
